Koinobia – Living Together

Koinobia – Living Together is a strategic and cooperative board game for 3–6 players aged 8 and up, which immerses players in the world of early Christian communities along the Nile in the 4th century. In this setting, they take on the role of members of a communal lifestyle who must act as a group and build a harmonious coexistence.

Throughout the game, each person brings different skills and needs to the community, creating ever-changing situations and challenges. Players must make decisions together, use resources wisely, and look out for one another to avoid conflicts and keep the community stable. Success is not achieved through individual winning, but solely through the success of living together.

Koinobia combines strategic thinking with cooperative action and playfully demonstrates how collaboration, trust, and mutual support can sustain a community. The game lasts about 20 to 40 minutes and is especially aimed at families or groups seeking an accessible yet challenging cooperative gaming experience.

The game includes a game board, cards, playing pieces, resource tokens, scene standees, and other game materials, and is designed to be multilingual.
