Salts from Île de Ré – Herbal Salts from Taizé

The herbal salts from Taizé combine traditionally harvested sea salt from Île de Ré with fresh herbs from the garden of the Communauté or the natural surroundings of Taizé. The salt comes from a cooperative on the French Atlantic coast, where it is harvested by sun and wind in salt marshes.

The herbs are processed shortly after harvest to preserve their flavor as much as possible. Together with the sea salt, they steep for several days or weeks before the mixture is dried and sifted.

Whether for stews, grilled dishes, salads, vegetables, or fresh bread – the salts bring a fine, natural seasoning to the kitchen.
